Obituary of Francis Drescher

Francis A. Drescher was called to his heavenly home on January 18, 2018 after a long illness. He was the beloved husband of Catherine and beloved father to their children, Doreen and Daniel. He was also the beloved and devoted grandfather to Christopher, Courtney, Connor and Olivia. He loved his family and was happiest when surrounded by them. He traveled the globe while working for Westinghouse, Inc. as their International Contracts Manager. He served his country honorably in the US Army during the Korean War. He always loved Hilton Head Island and retired here after working at Dorr-Oliver in Connecticut. Francis and his wife moved here in 1994 from Upper Saddle River, NJ and never looked back. He was a devoted and faithful parishioner of St. Francis by the Sea Catholic Church and will be inurned in the columbarium at the church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 26, 2018 at 10:30 am at St. Francis by the Sea Catholic Church. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
