Obituary of Suzanne Fritz

SUZANNE W. FRITZ, February 23, 1938 to November 21, 2017, beloved wife, mother and grandmother. Sue Fritz was born in Northampton, Mass, but spent her formative years in Manchester, Mass. She attended Gloucester High School, matriculated at the Beth Israel Hospital for her RN, then attended University of Pennsylvania to receive her BSN. There she met the love of her life, Mike, who, was her soulmate and best friend for 57 years. Together they moved to Atlanta in 1967 where Mike took a job at Emory University and Sue worked as an RN part time while raising their family. They maintained two houses from the 1980’s, Hilton Head and Atlanta until 2001 when Mike retired and they moved full time to Hilton Head to their home in Sea Pines Plantation. Sue loved living on the island, walking the beaches, playing tennis, volunteering as a nurse at Volunteers in Medicine, playing bridge, and being active on many committees at Congregation Beth Yam. In addition to these, she was a member of Sea Pines Country Club and South Beach Racquet Club. Other than her family, Sue’s other passions were traveling and hiking. Together with Mike they visited 75 countries, and hiked some amazing places such as Patagonia, Machu Picchu, Australia, and New Zealand. She leaves behind a devastated husband, a daughter Allyson Pearson (Bill), sons Jason (Jennifer) and Theron (Desiree Villadolid, MD), 5 grandsons, Ryan Pearson, Jake Pearson, Kyle Pearson, Max Fritz, and Jonny Fritz.
