Obituary of Kathleen Marie Baldus

Kathleen M. Baldus, 74, of Hilton Head Island, died January 24 in Birmingham, Alabama.

Born in Syracuse, NY, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Lucille Lauducci Valerio.  She moved to Hilton Head Island in 1985 from Mequon, Wisconsin.

Kathleen is survived by her daughters, Karen Searcey of Chelsea, Alabama, Kim Baldus Hartman of Woodridge, Illinois, and Kelly Johnson of Springville, Alabama; her brother, Charles (Donna) Valerio of Simpsonville, SC; her sister Jo Ann Hathaway of Iron Mountain, Michigan; her grandsons Woodward Searcey of Mobile, Alabama; Ryan Hartman of Chicago, Illinois and Tanner Hartman of Woodridge, Illinois; and sons-in-law William Searcey, Craig Hartman and Dedrick Johnson.  She was preceded in death by her husband Woodward Baldus in 1991.

Friends will be received Friday, February 1 from 3 to 5 pm at The Island Funeral Home and Crematory, 4 Cardinal Road.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church on Saturday, February 2 at 1pm.  Interment will follow in Six Oaks Memorial Park.
