Dear Daughters of Mary B.,
Your mother was a lovely friend to us both on Gramercy Park, where we lived and here in South Carolina, where we have a home too. We spent a number of Thanksgivings with your mother in NYC and with her friend Midge Longley who lived in the same building on Gramercy Park before your mother moved down to Battery Park City. We had mutual friends, Adriano Arietti and Connie Maneaty and Andrew and Donna Sorenson. We visited and stayed with your Mom in Hilton Head and she would always stop in Columbia for an overnight and dinner with us on the 1st day of her summer road trip up to Chautauqua. She was in a friend of ours' wedding (decades ago) she helped a friend of ours get a job at The Landmarks Conservancy in NYC and she included a divorced buddy of ours in our holiday meal together. We will miss her very much.
