Obituary of Sandra Booth

SANDRA LEE BOOTH

Sandra Lee Booth, 72, of Hilton Head Island, SC, passed away after a long struggle with emphysema, May 3, 2020 at the Life Care Long Term Facility, Hilton Head Island.

Sandra was born August 27, 1047 to the late George and Barbara (Kirby) Booth at Hartford Hospital.  She graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in Middletown, CT in 1965 after earlier years at St. Mary’s in Newington CT.  She lived many years in New Britain, CT.

Survivors are daughter Kimberly Hines, son David Dudzinski, granddaughter’s Alexandra and Cassandra Dudzinski, Sister Marcia Cromwell and brother John Fowler.  Sandra was predeceased by her brother Robert Booth, nephew Oliver John Cromwell, niece Ashley Cromwell.  She had many nieces and nephews and everyone that knew mow was “family”.

She rarely met a stranger.  That wat wan one of her many wonderful attributes.  She was sincere, genuine and authentic especially with a twinkle in her eye.  She always made time for whoever would visit unannounced or call.  She enjoyed the company of family.  She used to say if she could have all her family in one house, she would be content.  Mom loved the beach and in her early years summered at Watch Hill, Rhode Island.

She was a great businesswoman and a wonderful caretaker as well as very loving and compassionate with other people.  She loved to listen to music.  She loved to party and have a good time and she made sure that those around her did too.  Mom was a free spirit, and she used to tell us that her brother, Robert was on of a kind but I truly believe that she is the one.

All that knew mom left with a special gift that she bestowed, longing to revisit that warm feeling many times over.  When life tended to be hard to navigate, she would always say “This too shall pass” Mom you will be forever in our hearts.  We love you very much.

Services will be live streamed Saturday, May 9th at 11:00 a.m. at https://www.facebook.com/events/873090399769213/
