Obituary of Stella Lee Edwards Anderson

Stella Lee Edwards Anderson (“Lee” and “Pixie”) 18 year resident of Hilton Head Island, died peacefully on July 6th, 2021 at the age of 85. She was a graduate of Chatham Hall in Virginia, Catherine Gibbs in Boston and a student of Sir George Williams University in Montreal, Yale University in CT and the University of SC in Bluffton. She was born in December 1935 at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York, NY. She was loved and admired for her intellect, sharp wit and warmth. She shared her life and many travels with and was married to Lawrence L. Anderson, Jr. “Larry” (d. 2008) for 50 years and she is survived by her five children Andy Anderson, John Anderson, Hope Utterback, Stella Anderson, Toby Anderson, their companions, ten grandchildren and her puppies Polly and Ferdi.

Visitation will be held Friday, July 9 from 5:30 to 7:00 pm at The Island Funeral Home.
