Obituary of Linda D. Arinoldo
On November 16, 2021, Linda D. Arinoldo, returned to the Lord after a lengthy battle with cancer. She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Dr. Carlo G. Arinoldo, of Hilton Head Island, and her loving son, Brandon, of Baltimore.
Linda was born in Brooklyn, New York, on May 13, 1948, to Arthur and Irene Wickstein, who are both deceased. Linda graduated from the City University of New York with a Master of Science degree in School Psychology. She went on to have a very successful career as a psychologist working with children and adults. Her longest tenure of her practice was at the Rolling Hills School in Commack, New York.
Linda was also a co-author, with her husband, of several books dealing with parenting and weight control. In addition, she made numerous appearances with her husband on his long-running television and radio programs.
Since moving to Hilton Head in 2016, Linda was a volunteer at the St. Francis Thrift Store; a member of the Women of St. Francis Club; and a Eucharistic Minister to the homebound. She was also a great animal lover, nature and beach enthusiast, and skilled craftsperson, making holiday wreaths for families and winter hats and scarves for the homeless.
Everyone who knew Linda, LOVED Linda. She will be greatly missed by everyone.
Visitation will be held at The Island Funeral Home, 4 Cardinal Road, Hilton Head Island, on Sunday November 21, and Monday November 22 from 2 PM - 4 PM, and 6 PM – 8 PM both days. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday November 23, at 1 PM at St. Francis by the Sea Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Six Oaks Cemetery in Sea Pines.
