Obituary of Betty M. Glotzbach

Mrs. Betty M. Glotzbach of Evans, Georgia, wife of the late Ralph B. Glotzbach, passed away on Monday, November 29, 2021 at Brandon Wilde, Augusta’s Life Care Community. She was 96 at the time of her death.

She was born in Eureka, Kansas to the late William H. Betsher and Mabel E. Betsher. Her brothers Glenn E. Betsher and Randall E. Betsher preceded her in death.

 

Betty was a graduate of Kansas State University, a member of the PEO Sisterhood, a homemaker and wonderful mother of five children, grandmother of twelve and great grandmother of sixteen.

 

Betty is survived by her children Karen E. Lichwalla and her husband Joe of Estero, Florida; Pamela G. Haselden and her husband Al of Clover, South Carolina; James C. Glotzbach and his wife Beverly of Athens, Alabama; Sandra G. DesChamps and her husband Wally of Prosper, TX; and Richard E. Glotzbach and his wife Michelle of Roswell, Georgia. Loving grandchildren and great grandchildren are Bill Lichwalla, his wife Jennifer and their children Nate, Hannah, Madeline and Ty; Kevin Lichwalla, his wife Lis, and their children Grace, Ava and Daniel; Brooks Haselden, his wife Jeanie and their children Ford and Parker; David Haselden, his wife Amanda and their children Bennett and Millie; Laura Haselden Stoner, her husband Matt and their daughter Lillian; Melanie Glotzbach Dervan, her husband Jared and their children Caroline and Lily; Spence Glotzbach, his wife Leah and their children Blakely and Tinsley; Lauryn DesChamps McCue and her husband Ryan; Wade DesChamps; Ross DesChamps; Nicholas Glotzbach and Sam Glotzbach.

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Francis by the Sea Catholic Church, Hilton Head Island, South Carolina on February 11, 2022 at 10:00am, at which time she will be buried alongside her loving husband of 49 years, Ralph.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to either the American Cancer Society or the March of Dimes.
