Obituary of Dr. Morris H. Drucker

We are sad to announce the passing of Dr. Morris H. Drucker, a resident of Hilton Head, South Carolina. He died on November 24th, 2022, at age 77, at Memorial Hospital, Savannah, GA.

Morris was born on November 17th, 1945 in Brooklyn, NY, and raised in Massapequa, NY. He graduated from Columbia University and then from Suny Syracuse’s medical school. He did his internship at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, where he met his beloved wife, Lou. He completed his training in cardiothoracic surgery at Emory University. He was a hardworking cardiothoracic surgeon who performed over 10,000 open heart surgeries during his career in Youngstown, Ohio, and Florence, South Carolina.

Morris was kind and generous to a fault, and showed his love through teasing and joking. He loved his family above all else. Morris also loved model trains, his boat, the Diastole, and his golden retriever, Gracie, who passed away two days before he did.

He is predeceased by his parents, Harry and Rose Drucker. Morris is survived by his cherished wife, Lou, his children, Allyson and Jonathan, and his brother, Robert, and sister, Claire.

A Graveside Service will be held on Sunday, November 27th, 2022 at 1:00 pm at Six Oaks Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Hilton Head Humane Association or the American Heart Association.
