Obituary of Diana Elizabeth Zokan

Diana Elizabeth Zokan, 58, ended her battle with cancer and went to be with The Lord on Monday, September 3rd. Diana was born on July 1, 1960 to the late Thomas Scheinoha and Rosemary Scheinoha in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Diana met the love of her life, Joseph Andrew Zokan in 1981. Diana and Joe were married in 1982, and had the pleasure of spending an incredible 36 years together. They had two sons, Ryan and Brent, before deciding to relocate the family to South Carolina. In 1990, they moved to Columbia, SC where after a couple of years they completed the family with their daughter, Kelsey. Diana and Joe’s love and devotion to one another expanded to their three adoring children. Their love was one of a kind and anyone that was able to witness their love story was truly blessed. Diana and Joe’s marriage was the embodiment of verse Mark 10:8, “No longer two but One.” They were a team through everything life threw their way and always kept their faith in God. Diana was an outstanding wife, mother, and business owner. She was an indispensable partner in the establishment of Northpoint Heating and Air, Inc. in Columbia, SC and Bluffton, SC. Diana enjoyed spending time with her family and friends the most. When Diana and Joe moved to Bluffton, SC they spent several years restoring their beautiful historic home that was originally built in the mid-1800s. They were both very passionate about working on this project together and loved the idea that they were completing their dream home to grow old together in. She also enjoyed long walks with their dog, Winston, cooking, tennis, traveling, and volunteering at Church of the Cross’ God’s Goods store. She is survived by her husband, Joe; her sons, Ryan (Brett Hearn) of Bluffton, SC and Brent (Angela) of Columbia, SC; her daughter, Kelsey Allison (Aaron) of Bluffton, SC; her grandsons, Blaise and Bates; her mother, Rosemary Scheinoha; her brothers, Mike Scheinoha (Julie) and Paul Scheinoha (Tammy); her sisters, Laura Tyson (Richard) and Carol Demers (Dave); as well as numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. Her final years were spent with many of life’s greatest celebrations and she truly cherished each and everyday. Joe and the entire family are grateful for her giving heart, her strength, and her continuous faith and trust in God’s Plan. Diana will be deeply missed by many. Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 19th, at 11:00 a.m. at Church of the Cross Historic Campus in Bluffton, South Carolina. Memorials can be made in Diana’s name to God’s Goods, 15 A Centre Drive, Bluffton, SC 29910 (843) 757 – 2024. Arrangements by The Island Funeral Home and Crematory. islandfuneralhome.com
