Obituary of Joseph Paul Wolf

Joseph Paul (Joey) Wolf, son of Dudley and Paula Wolf of Plano, Texas, was born August 6, 1982 in Harrisburg, PA. He passed away unexpectedly at his home in Hilton Head, SC on January 24, 2019.

Joey was a typical EDS kid, growing up in Pennsylvania, Virginia, North Carolina and Texas. He was a graduate of the Shelton School of Dallas (2002). While at Shelton, he developed several enduring relationships with teachers and made many life-long-friends. Following high school, he attended The New York Institute of Technology in Long Island NY where he obtained a culinary degree. He was a member of Preston Meadow Lutheran Church in Plano, TX.

Following graduation at NYIT, Joey moved to Hilton Head to pursue his culinary dream. He eventually found his calling at Harris Teeter grocery where he was a long-time loyal and valued employee. He was a friendly face to customers and co-workers alike.

Joey was a devoted Cowboys fan, taking particular satisfaction in a victory over the Eagles. He delighted in good-natured trash talk with his Eagles-loving relatives. He also enjoyed NASCAR, and took yearly trips to Dallas to attend races with his family. He was strongly rooted in his Christian faith. He loved the beach, golfing, travel, and his nieces and nephews.

Joey was beloved by family and friends for his infectious laugh, his bright smile, his kind nature, and his beautiful soul. He made friends everywhere he went, and was well known all over Hilton Head Island. He was a devoted son who loved spending time with his parents and family.

In addition to his parents, Joey is survived by his sisters and their spouses, Amanda and Scott Conner of Murphy TX, and Jill and Mitch Bennett of Atlanta, GA.; nieces Molly Conner, Sydney Conner, and Greta Bennett and nephews Drew Conner and Leo Bennett, along with many aunts, uncles and cousins.

A memorial service will be held Monday, February 11th at 10:30am at Preston Meadow Lutheran Church, 6801 Coit Road, Plano, TX 75024.  Reception will follow at Canyon Creek Country Club.
