I was so sadden to hear of the passing of your mom. I didn't spend a lot of time with her but I always enjoyed the times we had. I meet her through her love of clothes and it grew from there. I'm a stylist for cabi (I'm sure you will find plenty of clothes in her closet with the cabi label). In fact, I was going to call her this week and drop off a spring catalog. She LOVED looking through them and studying every piece. She was a lady of great style always picking out the most fashionable pieces. Always dressed to the nines even just to go play bridge. We had lunch a few times and I loved hearing about the life she and your father had together. I believe her love of fashion came from your father. I recall her telling me how he would buy clothes for her.
When she moved into Tidewater (I heard after much discussion with her sons) she told me that they wouldn't let her where her cabi colored jeans into the dinning room, well she told them that she was dressed better then most of the woman in the dinning room and she was wearing them.
She was one of the most interesting people I've ever met. I'm sure you will deeply miss her. Keep your happy memories of her close to your heart, I know I will.
Her cabi stylist,
Gwen Burdick
