Monica Jean Zohn Doorley passed on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, on Hilton Head Island, SC. Monica was a graduate of Magnolia High School Class of 1962. She was well-liked by her classmates for her inner and outer beauty. She also had the innate abilities for drawing, sewing, cooking, and making others feel special.

Upon graduation, Monica unknowingly took a job that launched her lifelong career in the telecommunications world. Monica accelerated through the ranks of AT&T Communications. Her accomplishments, along with her engaging personality, provided Monica the opportunity to work in the AT&T Executive offices for many years in Washington, D.C. and Northern Virginia until retirement.

She dearly loved her life in Virginia but was lured to the coast and retired on Hilton Head Island. Monica enjoyed the peace and calm of life by the ocean. Being on “Island Time” as she would say was where she wanted to be.
