Obituary of Kay Weaver

Kay Weaver passed away peacefully at Village Cove Assisted Living in Hilton Head on July 18, 2023.

Kay was born in Cincinnati, Ohio and graduated from Ramapo (NJ) High School and the University of Denver School of Hotel Administration. She went on to work for the Marriott Corporation, where she rose through the ranks to become the food standards supervisor for three divisions and was on Marriott's Junior Board of Directors. It was also where she met her husband, Jeff. Living in Northern Virginia for 45 years, Kay was active in PEO, the Junior League, Junior Women’s Club of Falls Church, and she enjoyed golf, tennis, and skiing for many years. After her working career, she spent most of her time in the labor of love of raising her daughter Jenn and in traveling with her husband.

In the late 1970s, Kay and her husband vacationed on Hilton Head Island, fell in love with the place, bought a time share, and eventually bought a home in Hilton Head Plantation, where she lived until her recent move to assisted living.

Kay is survived by her husband, daughter, two wonderful grandsons, and sisters Susan and Mary Lee.
