Obituary of Karen Hartman

Karen Hartman of Hilton Head Island, SC passed away peacefully at home on Sunday July 23, 2023.
Karen was born on August 25, 1948, to her parents Hayward C. Meyer and Gwendolyn (Mast), and was raised in Scarsdale, NY. She married Trace Hartman in 1967. The Hartman’s moved to Ridgefield CT in 1976 where they raised their two daughters. She and Trace retired to Hilton Head in 1998 where they lived in Sea Pines. Karen enjoyed golf, travel, boating, and caring for her grandchildren.
Karen is survived by her husband Trace, her daughter and son-in-law, Britt and Randy Levine of Hilton Head Island, SC, and their two children, Jamie and Kyle Levine, her daughter and son-in-law, Heather and Daniel Kos of Niskayuna, NY, and their two children, Ivy and Sage Kos. She is also survived by her sister Carol Isaacson of Bluffton, SC.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations in Karen’s memory be made to the American Cancer Society. The family has chosen to have a private celebration of life.
