Obituary of Robert C. Schreyer

Robert C Schreyer, 68, a renowned chef on Hilton Head Island, died at his home in South Forest Beach on October 27, 2023 after a battle with cancer. He is survived by his mother, Marie Dennison "Denny" Schreyer, and his brother, James Schreyer, of Kennett Square, DE.  He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph C Schreyer, also from Kennett Square.  A graduate of Concord High School in Wilmington, DE, he attended the University of Delaware and was a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America.

An avid reader and passionate Philadelphia sports fan, Rob worked at numerous Hilton Head institutions, including Fulvio's, Big Rocco's, Fratello's, The Quarterdeck, and The Seabrook of Hilton Head. He will be missed by the many friends and coworkers he acquired over the past 40 years on Hilton Head Island. His remains will be buried at the family plot alongside his father in Wilmington, DE.
