Obituary of Nelson F. Britt

Nelson F. Britt, born June 21, 1934, in Lexington, Kentucky was welcomed into the throne room of Jesus, his Messiah, on January 24, 2024, having left this world from Hilton Head, South Carolina.

 

His wife Susan and his children were with him until the end, encouraging him to let go, and go home to his Savior. Nelson never cared about titles, wealth, power, or success. After he discovered the glory of God, and the good news of Jesus’ gospel, he made it his life’s work to tell others, and share the love of God with everyone he met. He loved people well, pouring his life and God’s love into everyone. He labored to heal our world, reaching across divides to foster reconciliation, forgiveness, unity, and real brotherhood. He lived well and loved better. After seeing the face of Jesus and falling into the healing arms of his Savior, above the noise of Heaven’s feast, he heard Jesus whisper, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”    

Nelson will be inurned in the Columbarium at St. Lukes Anglican Church.
